From APIs to RLHF, many terms get tossed around so often we forget they even stand for something—while others sound so obscure they might as well be codewords from a spy thriller. In this blog, we break down the most commonly used acronyms and jargon in enterprise AI deployments, including a few that might surprise even seasoned technologists.


1. AI – Artificial Intelligence

Let’s start with the obvious. AI is the simulation of human intelligence in machines. It includes reasoning, learning, problem-solving, perception, and language understanding.

6. API – Application Programming Interface

Enterprise trend: Companies are increasingly building AI orchestration layers through APIs, connecting LLMs with internal databases, workflows, and tools.


7. TCO – Total Cost of Ownership

AI doesn’t come cheap. TCO is a crucial metric when evaluating AI adoption—it factors in infrastructure, licensing, integration, retraining, and regulatory compliance.

12. AGI – Artificial General Intelligence
